Condominium Corporations are increasingly having to deal with the difficult situation that hoarding presents. Unlike other compliance type situations, there is more to achieving compliance than simply enforcing the rules. The problem is more than just an aesthetic one as hoarding can cause fire safety and health risks for not just the hoarder but also those living around them. Hoarding has been recognized as a mental disorder and as such, the solution to the problems that hoarding presents is complicated as it requires more than just a clean up of the physical space. Join Sonja Hodis, Michele Farley (FCS Fire Consulting Services), Melanie Bergsma (HALO) and Eric Snider (Winmar Barrie) our panel of experts as we discuss strategies that condominium corporations and property managers can use to deal with hoarding situations in a condominium community.
