Conserve Energy and Save Money

Did you know that some Natural Gas Suppliers will provide free energy-saving upgrades such as insulation, draft proofing and smart thermostats to income eligible customers?  The details of this and many other energy affordability and rebate programs can be found on your local hydro company or natural gas utility website.

For those who are not eligible for these upgrades, there are building retrofit programs offered to all homeowners regardless of income level.  These incentive programs, offered through the Canada Greener Homes Initiative, include the following eligible building retrofits:

The program provides access to Grants (to get a part of your cost back for eligible home retrofits), a contribution toward the total costs of your pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations, and interest free loans of up to $40,000 with a repayment term of 10 years to help you undertake the home retrofits.  These incentives also apply to multi-unit residential buildings.  For more information, visit:
