Rebates for New Windows through Home Efficiency Rebate Plus Program

Attention condo board directors: 2023 presents a golden opportunity for your condominium community. Generous grants are now available to replace old windows with energy-efficient alternatives, contributing to cost savings and environmental sustainability. Residential windows are responsible for up to 35% of heat loss, making energy-efficient windows a crucial step towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The federal government (NRCan) Greener Homes Grant, in collaboration with Enbridge Gas, has launched the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program in January of this year.

This initiative offers grants of up to $10,000 per townhouse/row house or three storeys building for energy retrofits in Ontario condos. To benefit from the grants, contact a reputable window company that works in conjunction with a credible energy advisor who will conduct assessments and guide you through the process. Choose Most Efficient Energy Star Certified windows made in Canada to be eligible for the grants of up to $325 per window opening. After completing the installation of new windows, a post-retrofit energy assessment is required for the submission of the rebates.
